Cookies
Short version: MeetGrade uses only the cookies it needs to keep you signed in. No analytics, no advertising, no third-party trackers — and that's why you don't see a cookie banner.
What we set
MeetGrade sets strictly-necessary cookies so the app can work — specifically, a session and authentication cookie that keeps you logged in after you sign in with Google. Without it, you'd be signed out on every page. These cookies are set with the httponly flag (so they can't be read by page scripts) and samesite=lax (so they aren't sent on cross-site requests).

What we don't use
We do not run third-party analytics, advertising, or marketing trackers, and we don't drop cookies to profile you across the web. The only cookies in play are the strictly-necessary ones above. If that ever changes — for example, if we add optional analytics — we'll update this page and ask for consent first.
Why there's no cookie banner
Under EU ePrivacy rules, consent is required for cookies that aren't strictly necessary — analytics, advertising, and the like. Cookies that are strictly necessary to provide a service the user has asked for, such as keeping them logged in, only require a clear notice, not a consent pop-up. Since the only cookies we use are strictly necessary, this page is that notice. We'd rather give you a clear explanation than an annoying banner that doesn't actually protect you.
How to control cookies
You're always in control of cookies in your browser. Every major browser — Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge — lets you view, block and delete cookies in its privacy or security settings. Keep in mind that if you block or delete our session cookie, you'll be signed out and won't be able to stay logged in to MeetGrade, because that cookie is what keeps your session active.
